Katherine Burns

I am a graduate of Loyola University Maryland, where I studied journalism and English literature. In my four years at Loyola, I was able to establish myself as a writer, reporter, and creative. Some of the highlights include producing and editing my own podcast, acting as an Acquisitions Editor for a spy novel while working at Loyola's book press, and developing my own newscast and stories while interviewing different members of my community in Baltimore. I have also held writing/editing several internships that furthered my skills as a content writer.

I am a writer and multimedia storyteller, with ambitions of working in a newsroom, at magazines, and publishing my own short stories and novels. To achieve these goals, I am seeking opportunities in newsrooms, as an editorial assistant, in content creation and social media, and in publishing. I value collaborative environments that are purpose-driven and hold community-oriented ideals.

Personally, my favorite topics to write about are travel, female empowerment, food and restaurants, environmentalism, mental health, and moments in pop culture. Check out some of my publications and projects!
